| Bao Ninh was born in Hanoi in 1952 and served in the 27th Youth Brigade during the Vietnam war. Of the 500 who went with him only 10 survived. This is his story and the story of a beautiful and peaceful culture \'bombed back to the stone age\' by war and suffering.
The lecture will look at the early literary infuences on Ninh and his place now in Vietnamese literature. |
